About
Our mission statement “holistic development” is
our pledge to assist and create opportunities that meet the
developmental needs of every child, helping them to develop
physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. Children
become confident, responsible, develop a love for learning, are able
to make their own choices, they are able to reflect on their own
actions and what happens around them and acquire respect for others
and for the environment. These qualities will be embedded in them
forever.
Maria Montessori said
“The education of even a
small child, therefore does not aim at preparing him for school, but
for life.”
Our prepared environment is safe and has been
organised keeping in mind the developmental needs of children from
two and a half to six years. Our equipment is authentically
Montessorian, the adults and children in our environment strictly
abide by Montessori’s three ‘R’s; reflect, respect and
responsibility. We also adopt a non-biased, non -discriminating
approach to colour , creed, language, religion and disabilities.
Our areas of learning are; life skills,
literacy, sensorial, mathematics, culture and arts and crafts.
